6-29-12
I wake up at 9:20 and get the bots up. (man has he been
sleeping in lately or what!??!) I check online shit and send a graphic over to
Jordan. I update blog and start coloring on the rest of the cards I got for the
current set I am on. I spend the day just hanging with bots and not doing much
else. The wife comes home and we go to Toys R Us in Okemos and we get the bots
some Team UmiZoomi toys. Then to Culvers for dinner. Then I drop her off at JC
Penny to shop solo, then back home. I really want to go see TED, Seth
MacFarlane’s new movie and Dean twitters me interest in going. So I drive out
to Mason to pick him up and we go to NCG Cinema to watch it. Pretty good.
Enjoyable. A solid 4 out of 5. Then I take him back home and get home around
11:20. I give the wife a backrub and we’re both out by midnight.
6-30-12
I keep dreaming about being stuck at work at either the Vu
or Lions Den again and I cannot stop dreaming it, despite waking up twice to
avoid the dreams. Bots wakes me up at 9:20, and my back is stiff as hell. I
check online shit and write a review of TED for the Bigfanboy website. Finally,
something new I can contribute!!!! I continue on coloring sketch cards till
around 1pm. I play with the bots around the house till 4:20 when the wife gets
home and then take a two hour nap in preparation for the long night shift ahead
of me. I get up around 7:20 and head to work for the first time in 3 weeks. I
work my shift and it is uneventful. I get home around 4:16 am, dead tired and
pass out to AVGN.
7-1-12
I get up around 9:12 and wake up the bots. I check online
stuff but I am still feeling the effects of the late night shift. (I’ve been
trying to go to bed earlier now in an effort to feel more “normal.”) So I lay
down in the bedroom and watch cartoons with bots, dozing in and out. Around
noon I get up and get to work on a couple sketch card commissions and start
penciling more sketch cards to ink later on in the week. I really need to keep
up on these things as I want them in the mail no later than July 20th,
well ahead of my deadline of August 1st.
(The rest of the day is a blur as I didn’t keep up with my
blog. Sorry. Safe to say I did a bunch
of random nothingness. Passed out by Midnight.)
7-2-12
Bots gets us up at 9:20 and we leave around 10:30 to Flint
to pickup Cody for his two week stay. We stop off at Walmart on the way cause
we are super early. We pick up Cody and head home. We get back and hang out
around town until I have to go to work 6-2am. I get out, get home and pass out.
7-3-12
I get up at 9:20 and get some cards penciled. I then take
the family to Fire Mountain and we eat hearty. Then hang around the house. I
take a nap from 3-5 and then head to work from 6-2am. I get out and pass out
around 3:30am.
7-4-12
I get up at 9:30, wake up bots and we lay around in the A/C.
We all gather and head to East Lansing to eat a July 4th meal at
Five Guys. The wife and I playfully snipping at each other and I can’t decide
if we are just funning or still on edge with each other. We go to Pruess Pets
to window shop and then to Party City for little trinkets for the kids. Then
back home. Cody and I toss the ball around but then I have to get to work on
cards. I got 150 cards to get done in 17 days! I plug in some podcasts and get
to work after updating the blog.
I end up penciling over 30 cards. A definite jump that I
needed! I take a break and watch Cody and Kelly play PacMan Fever on Gamecube
and then go back to ink some of the cards. I get done and they are playing
Mario Party 8 on the Wii. I lay on the couch attempting a nap but the wife ain’t
gonna let me for some reason. What that is gonna hurt, I don’t know, but it is
what it is. Kelly takes bots into the bedroom to get him to fall asleep and I
watch Godzilla vs. (some monster I didn’t get the name of) from 2000, and
Rebirth of Mothra II on Encore Family. He’s never seen a Godzilla movie before
and he ends up liking them a lot and wants to watch more throughout the week. I’m
glad he’s finally digging on “older kid” movies. He hits the hay and I pass out
around midnight to AVGN.
