UPDATES....

Here's a brief short answer to some questions people might be having about me and whats been going on with me.

Q-ANNA POCALYPSE 2?

A- Its slowly being worked on. I colored and released the cover recently. I am 77 pages in. I got about another 60-70 to go, depending on how the big climax is laid out. Haven't got that far yet. Once a few other things are off my plate, I am gonna go full steam on getting it done. I am still shooting for late April release. In time for convention season!

Q-Whats the hold up?

A-Just got busy with paid work, and feeding my family takes higher priority over all else. But commissions are clearing and I have fewer card sets on my plate at the moment (although that can change ten minutes from now! You never know when the emails will come in!). but its nothing stopping me creatively or anything. Ive just been hyper busy with day life, day job, parenting, commission work, and thats a great thing!

Q-Where's that webcomic you keep promising?

A-In same pattern as Anna 2. But I am further along on that. I am projecting January/February. I got enough ahead to keep me ahead and not have a worry. Just gotta build the site and launch it. January its gonna be a priority.

Q-Is there another Expendables?

A-there is. I got the script for issue 4, the final issue. I am just now getting clear enough to give it a look and start art on it. Brett is gonna go back to colors on it and I hope to have it done by mid-January. So expect by March/April issue #4 will be out and that wraps up the series. Also it will all get collected into a trade. And I'll provide extra content and an exclusive cover for that. That the plan anyway. All will be ready by April for main convention season. After January, its up to Brett to finish!

Q-What conventions you doing in 2013?

A-I'll be back at the MSU Comics Forum in March. Then FCBD in April. Then Motor City in May and then Wizard World Chicago Con in August. I'd like to add HEROES CON to that, but its a bit too early to see if its gonna be in my budget to do so. I'd like to. We'll see.

Q-Any new card sets coming up?

A-Sherlock Holmes, War of the Worlds, Burlesque Art (all Cult-Stuff), Fantasy Art (unstoppable), and God knows what else! I'd like to continue to do more Star Wars for Topps, but I haven't heard anything about a new set yet. Now that the Disney deal is all settled I am assuming that something will come along. The response to the cards I did for them was very positive! I got a few extra commissions as a result! I appreciate the chance and opportunity and interest as a result of my work on that.

Q-Whats new with Idiothead.com?

A-I will do more videos and I am always doing Morning Show podcasts. At the rate of about 3-6 a week. I got a ton of video footage shot. Just gotta edit it together. Its coming. I might do a facelift here and there. But I am focused on getting the webcomic site built and out the door first.

Q-Anything new with Idiothead the band?

A-Shane and I wanted to get together this year, but we both got too busy. If all goes smooth maybe we can free up some time in the spring or next summer to record some new stuff. I did send him a demo to a song I want to do. He liked it, so we'll see where that leads. He just joined a new band as a drummer as well, called "5 From Nowhere." They got a facebook page. Look em up and go to a gig!

Q-Some books are out in the Idiothead.com store. When they gonna be restocked?

A-I am doing a new cover for PLEASANT LIFE trade that is sold out. And fix a couple errors from the first run. It will be redone and available during the first of the year. Also, we'll reprint Anna trades. Probably run a package deal with Anna 1 and Anna 2 closer to the time the sequel book comes out.

Q-Any new sketchbook coming?

A-No. I'll probably hold off till 2014 and do a large one, as that will be my 20th Anniversary year doing comics. I am spending 2013 on production and getting shit done and then try to do a large tour in 2014 to celebrate and likely will only release that artbook/sketchbook to celebrate. However later in 2013, I will release something related to the upcoming webcomic site. Probably girlie calendar for 2014! We'll see.

Q-Tales of Sequential Mayhem #3?

A-I'm up for it if everyone else is. We were talking about it and possibly doing an anthology in every genre. but I'll get with the guys in the spring and see what everyone wants to do. I'd be down, but nothing in stone yet. I got enough to worry about right now.

Q-With all this busy stuff, you probably don't have time to do a commission for me.

A-Of course I do! I need to feed my family and pay my bills! Just go to the ONLINE STORE and select the commission you want there. Email in specifications on what you want and we'll get it done!

Q-Why are you so busy and so awesome?

A-Cause I love doing what I do and its the greatest life ever!

Q-Can I marry you?

A-No, I am married already. Thanks.

Q-But... please?

A-I'll ask the wife if she wants to get a third person in, but I doubt it. I'll ask though.

Q-Do you think anyone is reading these questions still?

A-Well, traffic seems to suggest that people come by the site a lot, so maybe. I appreciate the fact that people do still keep coming and I entertain them to keep showing up!

Q-Why is the sky blue?

A-Cause if it was green, we wouldn't know where to stop mowing.
