A Big Thank YOU...

Hey folks! Happy Sunday!

I was looking back on this blog and when it first started. January of 2006. So that means we're into our 7th year of doing this! WOW! Seems like only 3-4 years have passed. But SEVEN!?!??! Whoa. I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have stuck with me and those of you who are newer but keep coming back. I work very hard to keep content posted and free for you. From blogs, webcomics, erotic fiction, podcasts, 2 Deviantart accounts, videos, Facebook/Twitter and so much more. That seems to be a good 70% of what my job here entails. And no matter how "big time" I could ever get, I will never drop that fact. No assistant will ever be doing my tweets, blog posts or anything else like that. It will always be me. Cause I love the interaction my job has. I like the personal connection I get with people who follow me. Believe me, its a great way to give back. And the ones I look up to are really good at it as well. I hope no one ever says I don't work hard enough at this gig. I give it my all.

Its taken many years, but I am now starting to see fruits of the labor. Especially over the last three years. I've got some more "mainstream" gigs. Minor ones, but I prefer it that way pretty much. Just a toe in a pond here and there, while I cook the many pots of my own concoctions on my stove. And some I just keep getting. Some are gaining me some great attention. And also: I am stretching myself and getting better and better. Faster. Stronger. Better. It feels good.

I think being this open and honest for the last seven years of this journey has been the thing that keeps my head in the game. I don't want to let anyone down. Even myself. I just want to keep rocking and rolling. And believe me, we can do so much more. SO MUCH MORE. And we will. But I do often stop and take a look behind to see how far we've come. I pulled out the first Pleasant Life tradebook that I did in 2003 earlier today and was amazed at how far my art has improved. Its incredible. Not to toot my own horn, but BEEP BEEP! Eh? Ya gotta do that once in a while. Just to show yourself you are on the right path. Am I right?

Whats great about the methods I use is that I leave a good majority of my success up to you guys. YOU are the ones who keep me afloat and motivated. YOU are the ones who read and buy my books. YOU are the ones who pay my bills by buying a piece of artwork we collaborate on and you hang it proudly on your wall. YOU buy the music. YOU watch or listen to my podcasts and videos, and you are entertained by them. YOU show up to the shows to see me. YOU keep coming back. YOU. This isn't just my journey, its YOURS too. I hope you see it that way too.

So: We're only scratching the surface of what I got planned. There's new books, (comics and written word), webcomics, videos, music, podcasts, blog posts, sketch card gigs and other such content to come. And 2014 is going to be a big year for me. Its my official 20TH ANNIVERSARY of doing comics. Believe me, I got something major planned. I've had it in my head for the last three years. And this summer I will begin work on it. I want to put together a large book collecting the best pieces I've done and do a commentary on some of my biggest projects and their history. And MY history. But not just a book. I want to shoot a documentary on myself as well. The most vain project imaginable. Hey, if you cannot toot your own horn, no one is gonna do it for you. You gotta show people what the journey of your life means to you. So work on this, I shall. It will be a major thing. And I want to share it with all of you as a thank you effort for making this the best 20 years of my life. Cause I can't do anything else. There's nothing I'd rather do.

Onward and upward!

T
