Latest Workings...

Hey folks. Quick bloggy. Just to prove that I am always busy. Check it:

Here are some cards I did for a recent secret set. Once its announced I can spill. But for now you get a teaser taste.

This last week, I gathered all the original art cards for a card set I haven't talked about yet, but did work on over the summer. It has to do with Sherlock Holmes and a society of folks involved with the celebration of the character and his stories. Above are some of the original art cards with my signiture on them.

Here are a few of my favorites. I did a lot of the base card art for the set. Once its available for purchase, I will put out an announcement for you all to see. But for now, you get a tease.

2014 is starting to shape up and I am trying to make decisions about what comic book shows to do. For sure I am going to Cherry Captial Con for the first time, as they invited me. And I am probably going to make a triumphant return to Motor City. Also considering the new Grand Rapids Comic show. But I would like to do one more "bigger" show. Probably just as a fan to network, sightsee and make contacts at. Plus visit with friends. Right now on the table are San Diego Comic Con or New York Comic Con. Both have benefits if I go to either one. So I am trying to decide which one would be better. Oh well. I'll keep thinking on it.

In 2014, I will have the new STARSLAM graphic novel completed. Probably before the summer is done, so I can take it to some shows. After that, I am focusing on reprints on Anna and Pleasant Life. And the Artbook. Plus the new Tales of Sequential Mayhem book (Due by summer and we'll probably Kickstart that again). But after that? I am considering my options. I think card work will slow down for the most part and I'll take gigs sparingly. But I am really driven to focus on getting a couple novels completed. I have three in various stages of work. Some are 25 pages in, some are 125 pages. But I want to complete at least two of them by next year. So this means possibly a break in artworking. Comics, anyway. But I am taking the last quarter of this year to decide what the next move is. For sure, 2014 is focused on celebrating my 20th year doing comics. But after that? I am not 100% for certain. But I will make my plans known. Stay tuned.

Anyway folks, thanks for checking in. I'm working hard for you. Please keep checking back. I appreciate it. Cheers!
