Its Christmas in my pants....

Man am I fucked up lately. I dunno what it is, but i've been feeling quite nausous and sick for about 5 days now. I sleep all day long and at odd hours. I feel like all the muscles in my arms are liquid clay and my brain is mush. I forgot my birthday yesterday!! The wife thinks I got mono, which would be very interesting for me wouldn't it? But I'm just thinking that my late night drawing sprees, irratic sleep schedule and constant holiday visits have just reeked havoc on my brain and this is the "catch up" point. Lets hope its nothing more than that.

Today, I popped the cherry on art for Pleasant Life #4. Its a pretty mundane office scene but with two new characters. Should be fun to see them evolve. Looking back on it, I can see how much my drawing has improved since my old Pleasant Hymns days. I'm rocking and rolling as always.

I also did 12 of the 16 pages of Pleasant Life #2 in the computer on friday. That and the word balloons are the most tedious things to do in the process of small press publishing. Oh how I long one day to pass that off to an assistant! Or to get paid full time for this gig! One day, one day.

I'm lining up all my promo stuff for jan-march to promote Pleasant Life #1 and the relaunch, all that jazz. Issue #2-3 will drop March/April time and the Pittsburgh Con will kick off my 2007 appearances, save for a store appearance here and there. I'm doing my damndest to get it out to the people this time. I have limited financial resources so I am relying on reviews and word of mouth. I think it will happen according to my devious plans.

Yesterday was X-mas. Mainly consisted of cooking steak and potatoes and watching some dvd's with the wife. I got my son this past weekend and gave him his X-mas presents. I got him a gameboy advance, so he'll be quite occupied! The wife got me a surprise present of an Itunes gift card, a penthouse letters novel and a dozen SHARPIES!!!! YAY WIFE!

I'm seriously considering another second job so I can get PHOTOSHOP 7 and QUARK 4.1 for my home comp. In 4 months, I will lose access to those programs and I NEED them to do my comics! And a scanner would be nice too! So, I'm considering my options. Yeah, Mcdonalds crossed my mind but its a 99% no on that. We'll see where fate drops me.

Till next time, heres to all of you a happy holiday and new year! Its been a great one and I'll post before the week is out about all things 2006 and my 2007 plans. I'll bet you can't wait! Don't forget to tip your stripper after your V.I.P. room dance.
