Zombie Hookers ate my hairy brain balls....

So, back from Illinois. I'm on a screwy sleep schedule right now, so I stayed up till noon today drawing. Good news is that I got all the commission work I had lined up, DONE! So, with Pleasant Life #3 and Earthgirl #2 done, my plate is clean for a bit. Actually not. Turns out I gotta draw one more page for Earthgirl for an ending that we are tacking on, but its an S&M scene, so that ain't actually "work" is it now?

The K-man and I went to saginaw and lansing yesterday. I got the rest of the kid's Xmas presents, and a little something for the wife. I bought that PS2 STAR TREK game, a stand up comedy of Alex Borstein and THE WALKING DEAD tradebooks 1-2. WALKING DEAD is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! I'm recommending it over every other zombie book on the market. Forget em. Walking Dead is where its at! Robert Kirkman just became a personal hero of mine. I really dig his writing. It seems that he can combine the insanity of Garth Ennis, but keep it very natural and not too far out of the humanity side of life. Take Garth Ennis and mix him with some Sean McKeever if you like. I love it.

Visiting the folks this past weekend was great. I had a great time. I'm quite tired and my stuff smells like cigarettes mostly, but I can overlook all that. I was gratefull to see my brother John back to his old self again. Its like the last 20 years haven't happened. Deeply cool. Worth it to see that alone.

Tonight, I'm gonna start doing research on casinos for the next issue of Pleasant Life, and plot em out using thumbnails. Perhaps start actual artwork. Oh, and do that S&M Earthgirl thing. And touch ups on the commissions. All is well.
