NEW STUDIO and other ramblings of the electric head.

Well, my project for this past week was to move all my stuff out of my old studio to make our extra room the "baby room." So, junior has kicked me out of my home and I had to find a new one. And bless my hot wife and her very understanding nature, she let me move all my nerdy crap into the living room and set up art shop there. So here are a couple pics:

Here's a shot from the look inside the bay window into the living room. My bookcase is nice and organized (for once) with all my TREK stuff on the same wall as my bulliton board. Tons of pics, toys and other Trek related stuff I've collected. Yeah, I know. But I have gotten laid.... at least once.

Here's a closer shot of my new work area. Same desk, but I switched around the long form table part so its on my left side. that way I can peer out into the living room and watch TV on the 42: plasma across from the couch. No doubt when the wife is home I'll be stuck watching QVC and FAMILY GUY all day. But when I cannot take it anymore, I got my portable DVD player next to my comp. All my CDs are in the living room as well. I got new frames for my personalized Star Trek autographs. Art books firm next to my computer for me to reference.

And then after all this hard work, I got to work on the last Pleasant Life pages. I spent ALOT of time on the backgrounds of these final pages. Just really taking my time with it. Stretching it and milking this project for as long as I possibly can!

In other news, we had our first new TALKSHOE PODCAST last night with THE AMATUER HOUR with Tim Fisher, Anthony Harris and myself. We talked about changing art styles, websites that are good to frequent and Tim gave a good tutorial on photoshop colouring basics. Then we chatted about some of our favorite artists and then I revealed one of my biggest artistic failures that I want to start working on. to hear what it is, you gotta download the show! Its free and you can sign up for it via Itunes. Just go to TALKSHOE.COM and do a search for THE AMATUER HOUR. You can download old shows there or link it via ITUNES and download em all! Please do! And you can be on the show live every Tuesday night at 11pm.

Speaking of being live, I saw that Scott Kurtz was on FANBOY RADIO today. FBR is a podcast I've been listening to off and on for a few years now, depending on who is on. And when I saw I could listen live, I couldn't resist the chance to call in live on the air and wish Scott a HAPPY 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY with PVP in person. You remember a few posts ago about "MY HEROES #5?" Yeah, Scott Kurtz. So, cool. I finally got the nerve to call the show. A nice moment of fun for me today. Made my day really smooth and nice after that. So you can download Fanboy Radio episode #472 and hear me lick Scott Kurtz' balls. Which, I might add he completely deserves cause he fuckin' rocks!

Tonight, I got tickets to see INDIANA JONES and the KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. Midnight show. I never go see Midnight shows anymore. not enough interest in the films coming, or I'm just not into crowds. But for new Indiana Jones, I'll make an exception! I'm going in with an open mind, and not reading ANY reviews. Gonna make my own experience out of this. So calm down everyone. Just go and enjoy yourselves. As long as it isn't a prequal and it reveals that Indy is powered by Midichlorians, we're safe I think.

In other news, I like Wil Wheaton's comments that Hillary Clinton is like the "stalker ex-girlfriend who won't go away!" Yes. I agree. She's doing more harm now than good. Give it up babe. You lost. Now do whats best for our country and Support change... Support Obama!

Lastly, I'll leave you with a rare pic of the 4 cats together I took on the bed today. and yes, thats my old HE-MAN pillow case.

Cheers me droogies! And the adventure continues!!!!!! (cue John Williams Indy theme)
