Goings on in the Talley House...

Well, good news is that I finished resizing and re-formatting all 182 pages of PLEASANT LIFE and the cover and resent it to the printer. I also took the liberty of editing a couple things: a couple word balloons and omitting one person in the background I didn't want there. So all in all, I'm very happy to be done with it once again! My initial order is quite small but enough to get me through the first conventions or so. I plan to premiere it publically at HEROES CON in June. I will have them in hand by then. I'm also taking some to San Diego and Pittsburgh, so see you there and you can get your fix.

Battlestar DVDs are coming in July. The last season and the complete series on blueray. The wife and I are still kicking around the notion of getting a blueray player. If we do, likely it won't be till Xmas, so I got time to start saving for the box set (its $300!). I also got all the original TREK series to get. We'll have to see.

Speaking of the wife, she's got an interview for a promotion in a week or so. Wish her luck cause man, that extra money would DEFINATLY help pay off our bills and get me down to a few days a week working. I can spend more time with Scott (as he is becoming more grown and more attention is needed to him) and also get lots of artwork done! And with the shit I got planned, I'll need every spare second I can get! Plus, to be out of debt for once would be nice. :) I am very proud of her. She busts her balls and works hard at her job. She totally deserves any accolades that can be thrown at her. She's a better person than I.

New Star Trek film within the next two weeks. I am excited, cautious and all that. I am really going to go into it with an open mind. No matter what, it will never ERASE what happened before. I hope not anyway. I've had my childhood raped too many times to count. So if JJ Abrams keeps his dick out of my ear, that would be great.

Speaking of TREK, I saw the movie's new toys in TARGET. I scored a Kirk and a tricorder. I was gonna get the bridge but its just a mat. You gotta buy each figure which comes with a part of the bridge in order to build it. Kinda dumb. The ENTERPRISE was there but I passed on it. I'm not 100% enthused with the design of the ship. I shoulda got it though cause statistics show that when they release the ship toy, its the most sought after toy and it goes for BIG MONEY on the secondary market (dealers at cons and ebay). So I am a fool I guess. Maybe after the movie, I'll be stoked on it and go get it. We'll see.

Now that Pleasant Life is done (again) I'm gonna finish the word balloon pages I got, touch up OUTCAST art, work on prints and I got a new commission this week too. So I will be buckoo busy. Also tonight is the podcast. Busy!

Take care folks,

T
