Was bummed to hear about Steve Jobs yesterday. I was at work, painting an office upstairs, listening to my ipod when a co-worker went to the upstairs computer. Then as yahoo news popped on, my mouth dropped wide open. I was bummed about it all night. I couldn't stay away from Twitter. I read things like "Edison of our time," and I have to agree. He had his hand on everything that I use in my day to day life. From the Toy Story 3 DVD my kid watches, to my ipod, ipad and the Mac I am typing this on right now. I've read a lot of snarky haters or what not as well. To be expected I guess. Its how people react to things now. Everyone's got a voice or opinion on things. (sigh) But I do believe in certain absolutes. In that this man was a huge influence on our world today. Surely that cannot be debated or ignored. Take notice. Respect.
I caught the wife's sinus infection so I cancelled my trip up north. We got approved for the apartment 100% so its official. I got hired for even MORE commissions, so that is a definite plus! I'm waiting for three different card sets to show up so I can start sketching. I honestly haven't touched any writing or ANNA II pages cause of busy paying work. Busy as hell. I love it.
I'm about 1/2 way packed in the house. Excited to see how its all gonna lay out in the new place. I got three long work shifts this weekend to look forward to. (yikes) Hopefully I get to feeling better. Cause right now, I feels like the shit. Or a shit. Shitty. There. that works.
