And here it is in the process of inking...

I know some folks out there love seeing "process" pics work being done. So there ya go. I will post more on my twitter but ya gotta follow it! Link to the right of this bloggy.
In other news, time to review my initial reaction to the RUSH "SECTORS" Box sets. Right now I only have one of them, that being Sector #2.

The packaging is very impressive. The cds themselves are in mini LP style album recreations. Each CD has a nice plastic sleeve on it to help keep it safe. The booklet that comes with it contains lyrics and pics from the era of the album. Now the sound: IMMACULATE! I gave MOVING PICTURES a listen and its awesome! The sound is really punched up a notch! Truthfully, I never have owned any of these albums before but if you take radio hit TOM SAWYER for example, I listened to that closely on these and the sound is incredible. I heard little things and synth sounds I don't recall hearing before in the million times I've heard the song. I'm excited to check out the rest. I feel the real test of the remastering sound will be the albums in the Sector 1 box set. Especially 2112. I remember thinking that the mix on that album is so muddled when I heard it before. I'll bet its punched up just as nicely as these albums are. I will tell you all when I get that set. I was gonna go get it today, but with Blaxxx friday and all that, its too insane out there. Maybe tomorrow. My only complaint (and it is indeed minor) is that if they took the time to make the Cds like mini LP recreations, it woulda been cool to see the CD artwork look like a record as well. Similar to the BEATLES remastered CDs. Instead every CD is white with a Rush logo and tracklisting on it. Fine I guess. But it woulda been neat to see it go the extra mile and be a LP looking paint job on them. Again, MINOR, but its the details that make the pudding in double dip remastered releases like this. Overall, WELL WORTH GETTING! and its perfect for me right now cause I am getting into RUSH. Rock!!!
Speaking of Blaxxx Friday (and thats a SABO show reference for those who don't know what I am doing there. Don't hurt me!), I went out at 2am last night and left within 30 seconds of walking into my local Best Buy. Lines WAAAAAAAAAAY too long. You people are nutty! I went out today to the bank and thought about stopping in, but the parking lot was equally as full as the night before. No thanks. Instead, I ordered my Xmas present that I really wanted on Amazon for dirt cheap. the LORD OF THE RINGS EXTENDED box set for only $49! Down from $110. Yup. I'm excited. Should arrive next week sometime. I'm overdue for a chance to watch the new favorite trilogy in my life. All 12 hours of it, plus the 10 hours of bonus features. Yes! I can't wait till it shows up!!!
Okay, thats all I got. Be safe everyone!
