Retail, Snow and Beavis!

As I type this, I'm off 4 days straight of day job work and the snow is falling heavy. The wife just left for her night shift. I am worried about her driving in this crap. We're looking into other options, lets just say that. I hate that jobs can just transfer you hours away from home with no regard for your safety or the fact that you might, I don't know, want to see your loved ones once in a while. So we're working on fixing that shit. Its too insane a life to live. Retail life. Meh.

Oddly enough, for once, my dayjob retail life is kinda on the mend. We got a new boss who has some interesting ideas. We got a new sales incentive where I can make some nice bank. He even is very receptive to my ideas. Some changes for the better. Straightening up the act in general. I like the ideas flowing.

Now I got the next five days off. I am gonna get to work on my other two jobs! Parenting and art. On the parenting front, Scott started school this week. I put him on the bus this morning. He really seemed to like it. He's even calmer at home now we noticed. I'm glad. Its hard to let him go a bit, but it must be done. Empty nest syndrome already??

On the art front, I haven't done much this past weekend due to the erratic work schedule and lack of sleep, plus worry on the job front stuff. But I should have those sketch cards coming soon and I got new strips to work on this week and weekend. I also got some new 11x17 paper for commissions. Speaking of which, Remember my HOLIDAY SALE??? Yeah, still going on. ORDER NOW!!! I get generous around the holiday season!!!

I got the Lord of the Rings extended blu ray set in the mail today. I'm very excited. I watched a bit of the FELLOWSHIP and the transfer is dope! I've been re-reading through my INVINCIBLE trades at home on the pot. Enjoying that. This half season of WALKING DEAD was the shit as well. But the best is the new BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD cartoons! Reminds me of the good ol' days. I even got a hold of some of the old episodes with the music videos intact. Its amazing what I still find funny after all these years. I'm laughing at stupid jokes they throw out. Heh. Yeah.
