Chase the Whimsies

Hey friends. My son has broke my keyboard (again) so the comma and some numbers do not work on it until I get a replacement. Please excuse my lack of commas if I need one for this posting.

I'm busy with commission work that I have to get rolling on and new art for future things. When it comes out who knows? I'm just staying productive. I'm even thinking of taking on more work! Namely getting my youtube channel in order. I would like to do more video work in the future. Showcase cool locations - travel vlogs - how to vlogs - talking vlogs... but mostly just provide entertainment for those who visit my work. Since great access to what I do costs money I would like to provide something free in return. There are many people I watch on youtube who do similar things so I am trying my best to create ideas that are uniquely "me." I started filming some already and I will launch a new channel soon with these videos. Just a way to keep providing content for today's day and age. I got too much "old" shit out there. Time to make with the new.

I would love to do some travelling to get footage from exotic locales and places. I have some in mind. But right now I lack the two key things needed to do it: time and money. All those things are focused on other areas right now. But I will work on it and do what I can.

When I'm not busy I've been watching these Star Trek fanfilms that I have never got the chance to check out. So far the standout is http://www.startrekcontinues.com/ They do shows like it was still 1967. The sets and the shots and even the dialog fit for the time. It truly is like as if it was lost episodes from the old series. My nerd heart is bursting. Too bad CBS/Paramount is making it so hard for fan films these days. I daresay anything they are doing is way better than what the new movies are pumping out.

While I'm on that subject - The new Trek movie has a pretty high rating on Rotten Tomatoes. So I am ashamed to say I became like the nerds on the internet and pre-judged a flick before seeing it. I feel like an asshole and I apologize to anyone who was turned off by my posting. Its not a big deal but it kind of is to me. So I will keep my "opening day" record intact and see the flick this Friday and then judge it after seeing it. I might even put down my swords and see how entertaining this new Ghostbusters is. Cause why not. Who cares really?

I spoke on the new IDIOTHEAD MORNING SHOW about the Maron series finale and about Preacher the Tv series and my current thoughts on it. Download and enjoy. Its free.

In the end we are all just starving for entertainment and maybe we can go have a good time at the movies and turn off our own brains and drown out the evils of the world. Just for a little while anyway. Meanwhile I will continue to do my best to chase the whimsies and provide my own entertainment. I'm trying to evolve the ideas in my head and get them out and provide my own spin on the world. Its all we ever try to do right? Don't ever say I never gave back! I'm not very good at just taking things. I'd rather give them out to the world.

Anyway have a good week! I'm going to go get a new keyboard so I can type commas again.

Cheers T
