Snowy Survey

The boys are waiting for Xmas!!
Hey friends! Cooking some lunch while I am dreading digging my car out from 5 to 8 inches of snow for us to head to work. Survey time to kill time. Enjoy!

Is there a boy/girl in your life?
A~
There are many boys and girls in my life. The planet is full of them, silly.

Think of the last person who hurt you; do you forgive them?
A~
I forgive everyone who has wronged me. But I don't ever forget.

What’s something you really want right now?
A~
My own house. Bills paid off. Money in the bank. My work all done. Retirement. Hanging with my kids more. A day off. All of that.

Have you ever slept on a couch with someone else?
A~
With my size? Im lucky to find a couch I can fit on to sleep on. No room for anyone else!

What’s the background on your cell?
A~
I think its a pic of my boys. Or a cat. Not sure.

Do you like your phone?
A~
Well sure. We get along great. Lots of GB for porn and surfing for porn and other things. Like porn.

Honestly, are things going the way you planned?
A~
I gotta say its getting better. Im happy with how things are turning around.

Which hurts the most, physical or emotional pain?
A~
Reading past my blogs, Id say emotional, by far.

Would you rather visit a zoo or an art museum?
A~
Actually that is a good question. Both have great merits. But I will say Art Museum. I like to be inspired.

Are you tired?
A~
Oh yes. Absolutely. I don't know what is keeping me going some days.

Would you ever consider getting back together with any of your exes?
A~
No. They are all exes for a reason. No need to go back.

Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?
A~
I hope so!

Is there a certain quote you live by?
A~
Life is too short to stress about people, places or things that don't deserve to be an issue in your life. I need to live by that more.

What’s on your mind?
A~
The shrimp and fries I am currently cooking. It smells good.

Think to the last person you kissed, have you ever kissed them on a couch?
A~
What is your obsession with kissing and couches??? Seriously, get help.

Have you ever had the feeling something bad was going to happen and you were right?
A~
Oh all the time.

Do you have a friend of the opposite sex you can talk to?
A~
A few. I can talk to anyone really. I have no problems opening up.

What do your friends call you?
A~
Lately they probably call me MIA. Been busy as fuck.

Has anyone upset you in the last week?
A~
Oh yeah. Probably daily. Like bad drivers nshit.

Do you have a favorite pair of shoes?
A~
Vans Half Cabs. I just ordered some new ones too!

Would you ever go bald if it was the style?
A~
At the rate my hair is thinning, I don't think I will have a choice.

Top 3 web-pages?
A~
Musicnews, Xvideos and Idiothead.com!

How is your hair?
A~
You know, I haven't asked it.

What do you usually do first in the morning?
A~
Grab phone, check news to see if Trump resigned or was shamed out of office sometime while I was sleeping. Then I get disappointed that he hasn't yet, so I get up and take a piss.

Green or purple grapes?
A~
Purple. Helps with the prostate, which at my age, is something I need to watch out for.

When’s the next time you will give someone a BIG hug?
A~
Oh what, I'm supposed to be a goddamn fortune teller now??

Do you wish you were somewhere else right now?
A~
No. Home is where my heart is. But looking outside at the 5 inches of snow, makes me want to head south with the birdies.

Where will you be 5 hours from now?
A~
Again I gotta predict the fucking future? Well, if all goes according to plan I will be at work. Unless some shitty driver hits me on the way to work I could be in the hospital and jail. Depends.

What was your last thought before you went to bed last night?
A~
I love my GF and the presents she let me open and THANK THE LORDS FOR SANITY IN ALABAMA!

How many fingers do you have?
A~
305. Just like everyone else.

What is your ringtone?
A~
Original Mario Brothers theme music.

Where is your Mum right now?
A~
Dead 17 years this month.

Why aren’t you with the person you were first in love with or almost in love?
A~
We grew apart.

What was the most eventful thing that happened last time you went to see a movie?
A~
There was a movie playing. I saw it. Then Pee Wee Herman shot a load into the back of my head.

If someone gave you $1,000 to burn a butterfly over a candle, would you?
A~
Actually a good question. Id love a grand, honestly... but I don't think I could do that. If it was a spider, no question!

What is something you wish you had more of?
A~
Time in the day. or paid days off.

Have you ever trusted someone too much?
A~
Oh yeah. Always leads to trouble.

Are you keeping a secret from someone who needs to know the truth?
A~
I hate secrets. Secrets are bullshit.

Everybody has somebody that makes them happy, do you?
A~
I think lots of people make me happy. And then there are certain someones who are the best at it. Those are the ones you stay with! Cause they care about you, never try to hurt you and always consider you and your feelings before their own. That is true love. Glad I found one that believes that with me.

The Long December of Snow and Shitty Drivers

The snow is falling outside. I am not a fan of it. For the most part I do not mind snow, because it is beautiful and helps one mentally get into the spirit of the season.

What I do not like is driving in it. How arseholes around me drive fast and cause accidents... cost money during the holidays... put lives in danger. This weekend I drove to Flint to meet my oldest son halfway to give him his Xmas presents. It was a brief meeting but at least I got to do it. I had to drive in the snow and on the way I saw 9 cars in the ditch. Its only 1 to 3 inches deep outside. What the serious fuck, people?

Arseholes abound. The other night my girl and I were driving home and the cops were chasing a car trying to make a getaway. They crashed into someone behind me and headed our way. We swerved quickly into a parking lot and drove toward the back to avoid the situation. In our rear window we saw the car stop, the cops emerge with their guns drawn. For a minute I had a fear the people in the getaway car would make a run for it and perhaps run in our direction... putting us in the line of fire. But they got back into their broken vehicle and made a run for it, with three cop cars on their tail. I keep checking the news to see what that was or what the outcome was but cannot find anything. Safe to say, we decided to take the opposite way home. It shook us up pretty bad. Its one thing to see a dangerous high speed chase on Tv, quite another to see it a mere 20 feet from you. I will stay at home, thanks.

I was going to wake up early today and do some last minute Christmas shopping and then go see THE DISASTER ARTIST at 10am. I didn't make it. I was up at 9am, but the warmth of the bed made me not want to leave. Plus I can see the snow falling outside. Ive already pulled out my long johns to wear when I have to leave the house today. Its been a long work week. I had 18 hours of overtime and I will likely have even more this week. I have a TO DO list that is about 20 miles long. I still have more commissions and sketches to do to get these Kickstarter books in the mail. Over 1/2 of them have been sent out. I will not rest this week until they are all done and headed out.

I got a million things to do, a billion distractions I want to do... if I only had the time. I don't. So I have to suck that up and be thankful that I am busy. It is welcome, despite all I try to put in front of it. This week I will finish those books, I will get even more inks on STARSLAM 3 done. I will pencil and ink another story and some pinups for the upcoming Patreon page. Then I will treat myself by seeing STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI and then hanging with my kids this weekend. Hopefully sometime I can try and see THE DISASTER ARTIST as well. After all, all work and no play make Adam something something.

I am enjoying Sirius Radio again, thanks to my new car. Ive re-downloaded the app and am enjoying the streaming features. Howard Stern constantly distracts me and makes me laugh. I'm on a big TOM WAITS kick thanks to a featured UNCUT magazine all about him. We took the night off and watched CAPTAIN RON on Amazon Prime and last night I watched some MST3K while I was cleaning the bedroom and counting the presents I still need to get for Xmas. Hopefully done with that this week.

Anyway, just updating everyone. Im off to take a dump, pull on my long johns, scrape off the car and avoid the idiot drivers on the way to work. Yippie. Thug life.

Cheers, T

LET IT SNOW!

Hey folks. Just enjoying some cold weeks up here in Michigan as the snow begins to start.

Its getting me in the holiday spirit. We already partially decorated the house a bit for Xmas. Sue me. I didn't get to enjoy Xmas much at all as a kid. Being raised as a Jehovah's Witness sucked! I didn't celebrate Xmas from the age of 9-16 or so. So I missed out on a lot. Making up for it now.

Scott is making excellent progress in his schooling. He's getting better at writing his letters:

James is hanging out at home a lot with me too:

And when we're not doing that, we're working on the STARSLAM KICKSTARTER, which expires in 10 days. Be sure to pledge and preorder the book!

I've completed the script for Starslam book #2. I will start pencilling on it this week after I finish doing some Marvel cards for Upper Deck. Excited about this script. Its gonna be a doozy! Also I am gonna redo some of the already done Anna Pocalypse 2 pages. I'm working on BOTH BOOKS AT THE SAME TIME!!!! I must be insane. But I promised the book to be done and done it shall be!

Anyway folks, just checking in. Hope all is going well for everyone. Be safe out there my droogies!

Thanks SNOWBAMA!

(Much love to Sherief for the inspiration for today's blog title)

Hey all! We in Michigan are currently getting dumped with about 12" of snow, at least! Its insanity!

Here's a view out my patio window at the snow covering my back deck furniture:

Baby James meanwhile is making sure everyone in the house is fed...

Outside of drawing commissions this week, I been on kid duty. The wife went out of town for a night and then to a couple work related meetings. So its been me and the boys mostly. Boy don't they look thrilled....

Something I forgot to mention: When Matt & Michelle came up for New Years, I finally got to give them their delayed wedding presents, along with this piece I drew for them. A nice tribute to "Army of Darkness" starring them, I thought!

I spent this weekend working on commissions, cards, cleaning house, laundry and watching the Playoffs. So far, I am very happy that Green Bay has been eliminated. I am picking either the Broncos or Seahawks to go all the way. But in reality, I like all the teams in the running for the most part. Its anyone's game!

Over in my adult webcomics section, my superhero erotica story: STARSLAM is heating up! The main plot secret has been revealed, we're in the middle of chapter four and (spoilers) there is a MAJOR fight coming up. Some surprises are on the way. Shit is going to go down. You thought this was light-hearted? Guess again! Keep reading! (Adults only, please)

Tonight I watched a reality cooking show called "CHOPPED" because I knew one of the chefs on it. Weird to see people you know and have hung out with be on TV. Its a strange feeling. But she did great. Proud of all she's moved on to accomplish outside of the great motherland that is Michigan. She lives in NYC now and if you want to be a master chef, thats a great place to be!

Well, I got tons of work to get rolling on tonight and tomorrow so I better end this off now. thanks for catching up with me and if you are in one of the snow effected areas, please BE SAFE!

Peace and love, T

Hectic Xmas Week!

Holy crap what a week! We had a major ice storm here in Central Michigan and we lost power for about three days. Had to stay in a hotel. Over 40,000 people in the Lansing area were without power. It was a madhouse, apocolypse of a town. We almost started wearing football gear and hoarding gasoline. But now power is back on, Christmas was back on and we had a blast.

Anyway, here's some pics of our week.

Here is a bush in our front lawn, encased in thick ice. EVERYTHING outside has suffered the same fate. It was absolute anarchy outside. Walking ten feet without slipping was a miracle.

I went to Walmart early in a fruitless attempt to get a propane heater, some candles and flashlights. The shelves were bare. I had a pic of the empty flashlight shelves but it got deleted.

We ended up staying in two different hotels. Here's James starting to destroy the second one, by ripping up kleenex all over the floor.

Power came back on early Xmas eve and so we got to celebrate Christmas morning at home. Here's the bots opening a present.

After we had our xmas at home, we drove to Detroit to have Christmas with the boys' Grandparents. They showered us all with huge gifts and a great dinner. We had a great time!

We barely got home with all the toys the boys got from Grandma and Grandpa. Insane!

So all is better now. Life returning to normal. If anyone is waiting on a package from me, it will be mailed out no later than tomorrow. Thanks for baring with me. Its been one hell of a busy week. And despite our worries of our house getting cold and us worrying about the cats and how they would make it, they came out alive. Only casualty: One fish. Our poor algae eater didn't make it cause their water got cold. Poor guy.

But I count my blessings. We got lucky. Some only got their power back this morning. It was a complete nightmare. And some of you who listen to my podcast will know that an ex co-worker of mine got in a really bad car accident and is going through some major surgeries in the hospital all this week. Thank God the drunk drivers who smashed into her were caught and will face justice. All her friends are banding together and sending her positive thoughts at this time. I guess the lesson for all of us is: count your blessings. Crap happens without notice every day. Enjoy the good times and prepare for the bad times if you can. But in the end, it all comes out okay and we become stronger people for it. Get close with your friends and loved ones. Thats what the holidays are all about.

Much love to you my friends, T

Snowy Days

Welcome back friends.

Well, Christmas is fast approaching and the snow is falling hard. Supposed to get up to 6 inches of it today. Here's a look outside my office window:

You can't tell so much here but its snowing hard. Its going even worse as I type this. I like snow during Christmas time. The roads suck, but it helps when you don't have to go out as much. The wife's work is less than 2 miles away, so thats great. We both did some early Xmas shopping yesterday for each other's wants. She got rings, natch, and I got vinyl (equally, natch). I picked up some colored vinyl exclusive Nirvana, Ghost BC discs and a dollar bin soundtrack to Xanadu. I got about 50 pices of vinyl now and am now ready to pull the trigger on getting a turntable. I'm looking at a couple that THE RECORD LOUNGE in East Lansing has. I'll likely get it after the 20th for Xmas. We got the kids some presents as well. Just have to wait for them to sleep so we can wrap them.

I've been watching a lot of punk documentaries and flicks online and have made a list of some very basic bands (punk and not) that I have never really given the full examination to. Bands like Jesus & Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen, Capt. Beefhart, Black Flag, Fugazi, The Cramps, The Smiths, The Specials, Misfits, Rollins Band, Public Image Ltd and more. Some I've only heard a few songs from so I am trying to give all their albums a nice listen. Its nice to get my head back into music so deep. Its like coming home. Ah, Vinyl!

I've mostly been away from FB except once a day, except this last week, some dude was trying to fight with me about how I chose to sell my AP cards. Many of my fellow artist buddies came to my "defense" but it basically fell on deaf ears. After a while, I let it go and its back to normal. I think the internet has taught all of us to sort of disconnect and not treat the other people on it like humans. We keep ourselves amused to death and sedated with indifference. For example, this new school shooting in Denver. I was outraged as many were. Being a parent, I'm scared to send my kids to school. You NEVER know whats going on there. I recently found out someone I personally know brought a gun to school and shot a kid. It was a long time ago and they've changed obviously, but still its very sobering to realize how real it is and how close it can be, as well as random. But the jokes on FB and Twitter yesterday about it just sickened me to the point I had to just stay offline all day. I buried my nose in a book. Neil Peart's "Ghost Rider," which I finished last night BTW. It just felt good to get away from everything and everyone. I think all of us should try that once in a while. Take a vacation from your routine and do something just for yourself.

The holidays are a happy and tough time for everyone, myself included. I have lots of bad memories and celebrations related to this time. I cover them over with new memories but sometimes no matter how much you run from your past, it catches up to you. Its not done messing with your head. I distract myself with work, podcasts, music and other things. Nothing warms the heart more than a good Christmas classic movie. Its all about creating a happy environment around you with people you love.

I guess I'm saying that all of us could use a bit of a vacation from the beautiful distractions and the fighting with strangers. Spend time reconnecting in person with family and friends. Find and make love. Make memories. Eat hearty and find joy. Do it now before you fully train youself and the next generation to disconnect fully and a thing such as basic human interaction is a lost art. Forget the stupid fights of if an imaginary Santa should be black or white, or if you get mad if someone says "Happy Holidays" instead of "Christmas." Its all bullshit to distract you from your path. Keep your focus. Cultivate happiness. Wake up from your sedation and enjoy the days you have and the friends/family that you have. Cause one day it will end and all you will have is the memories. Live it now. Turn off the phone and the computer and live.

But please, come back and check my blog and my podcasts! ;)

Anyway, deep thoughts over. Just want to say thanks for continuing to read my stuff here and all of you stay safe out there!

Cheers, T
