STARSLAM is coming!!!!!!

Hey folks! Very very soon I will be announcing some news about Starslam, my first digital erotica superhero parody comic. I have a few irons to toss around and I gotta finish the book but the art is now completely done. At least 140 pages in total!

Im putting the call out to all my artist buddies. I have pinups from some folks as bonus material in it but theres always room for more! So i am offering a free download of the book to any artist who wants to do a pinup for the book. It would need to be done by the end of november. You can do a clean drawing or something a bit sexy. Help me celebrate a sex positive world by contributing to the project to make it more awesome!! If you are interested, EMAIL ME HERE asap!

This book is the culmination of over seven years worth of hard work and I cannot wait for everyone to see it in its completed form. As some of you know, I did have it on the site here as a free webcomic, but it always was intended to be read as a full graphic novel at some point. Now that point is close at hand. Within a couple weeks, I will launch a Kickstarter where people can contribute and get their copy and also get original art pages, make me draw your own story involving the characters, etc. Much more news to come very soon. News about STARSLAM's Future....

This is for the folks who are fans of the NSFW Erotica Webcomics I do over on the ADULT section of the site here. So if you aren't into such things, disreguard this post. But if you want to hear the big news, keep on reading!

As some who read the strip regularly might notice, I dropped about 6 strips on Monday to finish off the chapter and said that the rest of the story would be on my upcoming Kickstarter campaign.

This is true. I dropped the rest of the strips online and I have about 50-60 pages more to go in the story. Most of the art is done for it, with about 15 pages left to pencil and ink. The rest are mostly colored and lettered. So maybe a couple months work left on these. Once completed, I am going through and I am going to recolor all the strips and mix various mistakes, spelling errors, etc. Then I am putting it all together and launching it as a Kickstarter downloadable PDF book. I have seen the success of other adults only material on KS and I am encouraged to try it out for myself.

I will have various goals and rewards such as original art, commissioned art/stories, and a bonus 2 story erotica comic, exclusive to this deal.

Once the Kickstarter is launched, I am deleting the adults only section of Idiothead.com and it will go back to the way it was before Starslam hit the scene. So no more adults only section here.

Why am I doing all of this?

Mainly, I launched Starslam and couldn't pull in the numbers I wanted. I went out for advertising and reviews and barely got any of it. I do have about 100 faithful readers every week, but its not bringing in any income or sales on my things. However, with Kickstarter, I can reach out to a larger audience and get the story in the hands of those who don't know about it yet. Plus, I can make the cash I need to fund the project and other projects of mine. Also, if successful, it will encourage me to continue the story and do another book. I really have about six books worth of story planned out, but none of it can happen if the book doesn't get an audience. Bottom line.

No failures here. Just reorganizing my game plan. I'm finding ways to let the audience support the work, as well as reach out and gain new followers. Thats the name of the game, folks.

Anyway, if you are a faithful reader, I thank you. Starslam is more than just a porno comic. Its about creativing a sex positive story that all adults can find fun in. I believe strongly in that. And you won't believe this whole thing when its all done and put together. I've really crafted something special, that I am extremely proud of!  She deservers a bigger audience. She deserves her story to get told. Thats what I am doing. The ways of promotion and indie sales are changing, so I am changing along with it.

So: In the next two months, no more updates to the ADULT part of the site. Once Kickstarter is launched after the summer, I will delete that side of the site. So you got that long to dig in there and enjoy what I got up there so far. And yes, the PORN WORLD WEEKLY strips will be available in the Kickstarter book as well. I love doing that strip, I don't want to see it go anywhere. :)

Astonishing Updates from Office of Adam

In other news, I am working on new STARSLAM strips and new prints/art pieces for con season. So those that follow my two deviantarts will get some new content. I'm also doing newer card samples for the card companies so I stay in their line of sight for freelance work. Anything to keep me from taking on a night job. This first quarter of the year has been tight all around for everyone. So sales have been real low. Commissions have been sporatic. So I am just throwing everything I can at the wall to see what sticks in an effort to keep this train going. Luckily I have had people step in and help when it has been dire. I would be sunk without them miracles in my life. So I continue on and keep working on my stuff. Here's my current time table:

MAY - Free Comic Book Day at Clem's Comics - Lansing, MI
            Cherry Captial Con 23-25th

June/July - finish all STARSLAM art and start to put together the big book collecting all of the strips.

August/September - Finish two novels: Porn Store memoirs and my short story/poem book. Find a publisher or work on self publishing it.

October - (Maybe Detroit Fanfare?)

November/December - ANNA POCALYPSE 2 art
                                      Printing and releasing STARSLAM collection!

2015 - Release Anna 2 book, all novels, Mayhem 4, and one more solo project. Hit more conventions.

Happy Anniversary STARSLAM!

This year for me is all about anniversaries and This week is no exception, as I celebrated one solid year of my erotica webcomic: STARSLAM! Yes, I launched the comics on Feb 14th of last year and we passed the one year mark this weekend.

I'm quite proud of the comic and the attention it has got. I have a nice group of faithful readers that check it out every Monday when it goes live and it feels great that they keep me in mind. Its also a story that I am very proud of. When I did initial research on doing an erotica comic, a lot of the stuff I read just wasn't appealing. It was just too farcical and even at most times abusive and scary. So I wanted to create a story that promoted a sex positive outlook and have a heroine as the star. She's not a simple slut, serving the purposes of the story, but someone who is discovering themselves and their sexuality. Its something we ALL go through in life and we get to observe her journey. Its been fun, erotic, funny and now with what is currently going on in the comic, quite deadly. She's got a lot of fighting coming up and its really going to test her abilities. She's also going to learn even more about herself and her motivations as a superhero when it comes to her actions. She's learning how to be herself, in a sense. Its a grand journey.

As I type this, I just posted page/strip #53. This weekend, I inked page #97. I got about 20-25 more pages to go and the first book (or main first story) is complete and will be collected into a tradebook with expanded sex scenes and more. I do have plans for even more stories for these characters and I hope I get to tell them one day. Its a fun world to play in, thats for sure! I hope you are enjoying reading it as much as I am enjoying creating it.

The time is right to make and enjoy good erotica. When books like "50 Shades of Grey" can top best seller lists, we know that its a good time. Its a matter well beyond the "sex sells" idea. There is passion in all forms of media, even pornography. Good pornography exists if you want to search for it. I am glad to be contributing to the cause and promote a sex positive outlook on the world. 

The strip following is small and I know it will take time to build and make more and more people fall in love with the story and characters. But the time will come. I know it will. Meanwhile, I'm continuing to make the best work I can with it. And I hope you enjoy the journey.
