STARSLAM 2 NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!

Missed out on the successful Kickstarter? You can now order STARSLAM 2 from my online store right HERE

The cost is $25 and you get 146 pages of action, free sketch with autograph inside, shipped from my hands to yours. AWESOME!

Some interior teases:

Meanwhile: I'm busy filling orders for the Kickstarter and mailing them out. ALL the books get a mini head sketch of Starslam herself. My way of saying thank you. For those that ordered the fully sketched versions, you get a nice drawing of Starslam absolutely doing something naughty. No two sketches are alike and I'll share them at some point for those who want to see them. But a little too NSFW for this blog! But here's what the head sketches look like:

These are basic head sketched versions piling up. Some are going to Australia, Norway, Switzerland and all over the USA!

The full sketch ones will take a bit longer so bare with me as I finish those up. But I'm starting to mail out batches of them now. Thanks for your support and again, if you missed out on it, the book is now available at my online store right HERE

Thanks, T

COMMISSION CHANGES and other stuff

Hey all! Some quick thoughts and announcements. Very soon I shall be changing my commission rates. I will keep them what they are currently at on my Online Store ($30-80 depending on size) for a little bit, maybe another week or so, but then they will be going up. So if you want to take advantage of the cheaper price and need something done, best to jump on it now.

Also, from this point forward, I WILL NOT be doing commissions at conventions. I will do sketches in personal sketchbooks for fees, but as far as ordering a 8x11 or 11x17 piece at the shows, I will not be doing that from now on. Why? I decided that its not fair to do art at conventions. My attention is not 100% focused on your piece and therefore am not giving you my best work. If you approach me at a show and ask for a commission, I will take your info and give you mine. We can contact after the show and work it all out at that point. But to hand me cash and expect me to do a good piece within a day for you, I feel for me, is unfair. Also at the shows, I am there to sell my wares (prints, books, etc). Its all business. The artist hat is best left at home where I can focus and concentrate on giving you the best. So in reality, its better for you!

Exceptions: When I announce a PRE-ORDER before a show. You contact me and I do the piece at my office before the show and you pick it up at the show. or if you are at the show and have a sketchbook that you want a drawing in. Then I shall do something in it, priced according to its needs and content.

SO: If you want to take advantage of the current and lower rates, you can buy via my online store right HERE - Rates will go up within a week or two. I will be retooling my online store when its done.

_____________

STARSLAM updates will be sporatic for the next couple months. At the end of this current chapter, I am leaving the strips up for a bit and then taking them down permanantly. Why? Because I will be recoloring the strips, fixing minor mistakes and launching a major kickstarter to fund a fully digital version of the book in completion. The entire story (all 130 pages or so) will be available on this Kickstarter. I also will have incentives like original art, a big bonus erotica sketchbook, erotica stories, unpublished erotica short stories and other things. All that has to be ironed out in the weeks to come, but for now we're busy fixing it all up and getting it ready. Bare with me. But please enjoy the strips while they are up.

_____________
CONVENTIONS/APPEARANCES: The only thing on my radar currently is the upcoming DETROIT FANFARE, which I understand shall be making an announcement as far as a date soon. If that doesn't work, I might consider another show. But I am not super concerned about it at this point.
_____________

ANNA POCALYPSE SEQUEL: After STARSLAM is done and launched I am going full speed ahead on Anna 2. I still have a lot of art done for the book, but its just a matter of picking it back up and continuing on. I plan on having it ready for con season next year. I know people have been asking for it. Its coming!

_____________

SKETCH CARDS: I do have APs available for the following sets:
--Pinups and Pitbulls
--Contemporary Pinups (puzzle cards)
--Bianca Thompson's Dead Divas
All are available and most of them are blank and can be commissioned. Simply EMAIL ME HERE to inquire about them.

Thanks for reading everyone!

Astonishing Updates from Office of Adam

Hey yo! Big week of happenings. A small bout of depression, that was destroyed by a grandly kind gesture. Details are in episode #230 of my IDIOTHEAD MORNING SHOW PODCAST which you can subscribe to via Itunes or listen to right HERE - And please do. It explains so much.

So thanks to that, my book printing is back on track and I should have the Pleasant Life books here within a month or so. There still is time to take advantage of the big sale I have on the books! Get Anna 1, Artbook and Pleasant Life... over 700 pages of content from me! All for one low discount price. Please take advantage of the sale by clicking HERE

OR if you just need PLEASANT LIFE, order via the online store right HERE

----Order a book and keep me from being a saaaadddd panda....------

No seriously, it feed my family, funds my work and I appreciate it!

In other news, I am working on new STARSLAM strips and new prints/art pieces for con season. So those that follow my two deviantarts will get some new content. I'm also doing newer card samples for the card companies so I stay in their line of sight for freelance work. Anything to keep me from taking on a night job. This first quarter of the year has been tight all around for everyone. So sales have been real low. Commissions have been sporatic. So I am just throwing everything I can at the wall to see what sticks in an effort to keep this train going. Luckily I have had people step in and help when it has been dire. I would be sunk without them miracles in my life. So I continue on and keep working on my stuff. Here's my current time table:

MAY - Free Comic Book Day at Clem's Comics - Lansing, MI
            Cherry Captial Con 23-25th

June/July - finish all STARSLAM art and start to put together the big book collecting all of the strips.

August/September - Finish two novels: Porn Store memoirs and my short story/poem book. Find a publisher or work on self publishing it.

October - (Maybe Detroit Fanfare?)

November/December - ANNA POCALYPSE 2 art
                                      Printing and releasing STARSLAM collection!

2015 - Release Anna 2 book, all novels, Mayhem 4, and one more solo project. Hit more conventions.

--------------

So thats the plan anyway. Time to set some goals and make them happen. Off I go! Have a great week, everyone!

Cheers, T

ANNA in Da House!

Lookie what arrived this weekend:

So Anna Pocalypse tradebook #1 is back in print (and with an all new cover!) and available at the ONLINE STORE!! Or you can get this book, plus the big Pleasant Life collection and my artbook for $10 off the price for three! That deal still stands right HERE

Feels good to have my books back in the house and ready to go home to people to enjoy. Been FAR too long without them.

I haven't got that much done the last few days because we partied a bit Friday night with some friends. And then I've spent Thursday, Saturday and most of today with the kids. I've also just vegged out a bit and watched some useless TV. Whatever silly movie that came on that I haven't seen or haven't seen in many years. Here's the highlights: King Ralph, Fantastic Four 2 (never saw it till now, not too bad actually), Innerspace, Ghostbusters 2, Louie (tv show episodes), Twilight Zone (various episodes), newer Family Guy, Toy Hunter, new That Metal Show, Stand By Me... just surfing really.  Tonight is the finale of The Walking Dead and I am very excited. I get tired of people complaining about the show. I think its really hit a nice stride and I am enjoying it. I don't know what else people could want from it? People just bitch to bitch I guess. Never happy with anything! HA. What a way to live, eh?

Anyway, I plan to get back on the saddle tonight after Walking Dead and get some work done. I gotta finish a few minor things and then get to these commissions I got rolling. Plus if the weather stays nice this week I'd like to do some spring cleaning. The wife will be on vacation too, so it will be a prime time to get things done around here!

Have a great week my friends!

Productive Weekend!

Just what I needed! I worked hard all weekend and marked a lot of things off my TO DO list. I love it when that happens. I did this too:

Those are some selected pages and panels from my new PLEASANT LIFE stuff I am doing for the upcoming complete collection tradebook. It will not be in color in the book itself but I decided to color it for online use. Plus, I've never seen these guys in color sequentially! So why the hell not, eh?

I hope these don't give too much away. Its a cute little mini-story for the book and a nice way to see the progression of my artwork with these characters from when they started back in 1995 up to now. Hopefully people will see the long way I have come over the years. I mean, take a look now! Here's page one of the comic in 1995:

*Note: Lucas' name used to be BUD. Don't ask.

Anyway, we're looking good so far! I got the art done and now I just need to put together all the extras pages and then PDF the whole thing. Maybe another week of work on it. Gonna try to see what all I can get rolling on it this week since I don't have much on my plate (at the moment). I want it all done in time for May when my con season starts. If all goes well, it will be!

Speaking of May, don't forget I got the CHERRY CAPITAL CON from May 23-25th. But before that, I just confirmed that I will be at CLEM'S COMICS in Downtown Lansing once again for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY (May 3rd). Then I'll probably hit a show sometime in the fall. Thats the plan so far anyway.

I should have my ARTBOOKS back from the printer early this week. So order now and get a free sketch inside!! As incentive I'm including original art printed in the book. Randomly selected from my archives, a nice way to say THANK YOU for the support. Order now by clicking the link I just posted or go to the store here at the site.

Also, our KICKSTARTER for TALES OF SEQUENTIAL MAYHEM is still rolling. (Click link to look at project and donate!) We're going strong and very happy with its progress. I am putting the book together this week as well so it will be printer ready by the time the Kickstarter ends. Dig it! We thank you for the support.

In non pluggy news, I have started watching CLONE WARS on Netflix. I quite like it. I'm also keeping up with episodes of THAT METAL SHOW, TOY HUNTER and WALKING DEAD. All fun passtimes for me. I am also deep into reading Neil Gaiman's OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE. I've put this one off for too long. Other than that, I am addicted to watching house shows on HGTV. Really jazzing for a nice dream house of my own. Perhaps I am feeling all spring cleany too, cause I just gutted the hell out of my kitchen and moved things around. Maybe wishing the weather stays nice so I can enjoy a spring cleaning around here. We desperately need it!

Okay, thats enough from me. Thanks for checking in and have a great week my droogies!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I wasn't going to do this post, but I didn't want to end 2013 here with the downer that was the last posting. It did get a lot of hits though. Thanks very much for coming back and caring to read it. You never know what people are going to care about when you put it out in the world, even when its somethng small like a blog post from your frustrated mind. So I appreciate the hits. Biggest blog reads in a while now. Thanks for that.

I am happy to say that today is another day and after I posted that, I chained myself to my table to get some work done on commissions. And in the last couple days, I pencilled 10 small commissioned adult art pages for a regular client I have. I pencilled them on 8x11, inked and digitally colored most of them. Plus I did a piece I am giving to friends as a wedding present. It would be easy to say "Forget what I said, I'M BACK" but I know that the comfort demon is always right around the corner, ready to rub my shoulders and make me submit. He always wants me to lose my focus.

Some things help. Like seeing others' zeal for their own self-published works. Like BECKY CLOONAN. Also, JOE PEACOCK's writing always seems to be a great source of fuel for me to sip. Lastly, its the knowledge that no, I am not quitting. I never wanted to quit. I just get scared that it would be so easy to. Like the drive has dissapated as I get older, but I can adjust. Thats good to know. Deep in my core, I haven't changed and will not change. And that I take with me into 2014.

On my newest Idiothead Morning Show Podcast (Subscribe HERE for FREE!), I talked about 2013 and going into 2014 with some goals. Not resolutions, but things to look forward to.

1-GET ONLINE STORE GOING AGAIN - My books have been out of print for years now. I need to monotize what I already have and not worry about the next thing until I am taking care of the babies I got. So Anna will get redone. Pleasant Life will be collected and put in one big book. I plan on doing a 20th Anniversary Tshirt and get the Artbook printed finally. Plus more to come. I need to make $ on what I already own. Its important. I feel like a shlub saying I do books when all my books are sold out and I never have any at the shows.

2-CELEBRATE 20 YEARS - I've talked about it repeatedly that 2014 is my 20th year doing comics. I want to celebrate it. Talk about it more. At the cons, have balloons and cake. Show people why I am celebrating and let people know I care enough to celebrate it. I feel like I've earned that.

3-FINISH MY FOUR PROJECTS - First, the Starslam trade... which I only have about 20 more pages to go on it. Then release it online and a tradebook. Then there's TALES of SEQUENTIAL MAYHEM #3. My art is done. Just have to put it all together and launch a Kickstarter in January. That is all rolling. Lastly, my two written books: The short story/poem collection and the "My life working in the Sex Stores" autobiography. I am about 80 pages deep in both and I plan to finish both by March, with a first draft for each at least. The short story one I will likely self publish but I am seeking a publisher for the autobiography. But I am not worrying about that until I have a working draft. But all four things will be released next year. Guaranteed.

4-DISCOVER MORE MUSIC - Continue my vinyl rediscovery but also branch out into new music and keep the fuel going. An easy no-brainer.

5-TREAT MYSELF NICER - Joe Peacock said in his latest blog something I never thought about. He said that "I own myself." Thats true. I own my brain and my body. But I always put myself down and don't take care of myself. Physical, mental. I say these self-depricating jokes as a sort of defense mechanism to feel like I am taking the thunder away from anyone who would be thinking it for me. So no more fat jokes about myself. I've been taking energy vitamins. I'm going to continue that. Cut sugars and make one meal a day a healthy one. Just start slow. No fast food. Can't much anymore because the wife's student loans have caught up to us and we have to start paying on them! So just start with that and transition with the flow. But also with this, just to stop the doubts. Move forward. Keep going. Treat myself nicer. Rebuild confidence. Get louder. Celebrate more. Buy myself the more expensive soap or mouthwash instead of the generic one. Because I celebrate my value on this planet and I deserve it. and thats what I mean about treating myself nicer. Ya dig?

2013 had its strikes and gutters, ups and downs. I'd relist them, but I don't have to. Its behind me and only a fool trips on baggage behind them. I'm moving forward. Take me into your arms, 2014. I'm ready.

Everyone: Thanks for reading and caring to keep coming back to check out my little corner of the world. It means more than you know. Be safe, take care and I know you're going to have a great year!

Peace and love, T
