Updates, 2020 Look Ahead...
Hey friends, thanks for checking back with me.
I haven't updated here much. Although at my Patreon, I post there a few times a week. Blogs, pinups, sketches, comics... Its really the place to be and it directly funds what I do. So if you want more me, join us by clicking: HERE
I'm super busy with day job overtime and wrapping up STARSLAM RETURNS. My colorist finished the pages a couple weeks ago and so word ballooning has begun. I got a lot of family stuff coming up in the next couple weeks (holidays, natch), so I am still hoping that December release will happen. Of course you will hear about it on my blogs and social media. If you missed the Kickstarter there will be opportunities to get digital and physical copies when its complete. Stay tuned.
I'm already looking ahead to 2020 and what that will bring into my life. I have a couple projects I want to focus on and complete, along with the monthly work the Patreon brings me. Unfortunately I've found that as I grow older and life has become more complicated, I've found that my time is more severely limited to work on the things I want to do and pursuing paid work and commissions have constantly put road blocks in front of progress on these things. Its not a bad problem to have, don't get me wrong. Getting paid for my art and seeing people enjoy it has been a privilege. I'm forever grateful for those folks who do get my art and support me directly. But the drive to finish these things I have long since promised and keep delaying, coupled with a severe drive to want to do these things, funneled through a shrinking window of daily time to do them has been an extreme juggle for me. I have thought long and hard about what to do and what I WANT to do, and I think I have come to with a conclusion.
Freelance has to stop. Meaning, paid work and commissions. But I cannot stop it outright. I have clients I work with long term and its on things that are not finished yet. I cannot leave anyone high and dry on things. I would never do that. So I have come up with a compromise:
2020 will be the last year I will take commissions.
The focus will only be on my stuff and keeping the promises I've made to myself and to others. All the things will come. Also, more time with my family and friends. I've had a great run and I am grateful to all who have supported and will still support what I do. I never have taken you for granted. You've helped me keep the lights on in extreme times. I hold you all closer than you know. But I've just come to a point in my life where I just want to pursue the things I want to do and not make it so much of a "business" anymore. I've already stopped doing conventions, except for this anniversary year where I did reach out a bit. This decision is the next step.
Does this mean no more Commission tiers on Patreon? I haven't made a decision on that one yet. I am thinking I might keep that one for now. That might be an exception I will consider because its not all that much of a demand and its for the hardcore folks who support me and ALL THE THINGS I do. That might be the only way to get something from me. Also, I do often do story commission reward tiers on Kickstarters for new books. That might be the other way. But as far as me chasing down paid work, emailing me blindly and getting something done, nope. That ends on Dec. 31st, 2020.
So we got a year. Want something done? Something for the holidays this year? NOW is the time to get it done. Details and pricing are here: CLICK HERE
I hope this decision isn't too disappointing to you. I've wrestled with this for a long time, so it did not come lightly. But this is the best choice for me and my future. But we got 13 months. There is plenty of time to get something nice for yourself, whatever form that will be in. All funds secured directly go to fund my future and my family. I got big life changing events happening in 2020. The money will certainly be put to use. So consider scoring a piece today or very soon. I do appreciate it and love you all.
Next time we talk will be my big year end blog that I always do. Let's talk then after Christmas!
Much love, T

Mt. Pleasant FANTASTICON Recap!
Hey friends!
I'm back from a whirlwind of a vacation/convention appearance in my old hometown of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan! Its time for a recap of how it went down:
Every time I return to the old haunts, I have to take a stroll down memory lane and see what I remember, what remains and what is gone for good. I stopped through Shepherd and saw my old childhood home. Then we drive to downtown Mt. Pleasant and saw a few old places of note... like the BIRD BAR & GRILL... my old bar! (and also featured in the pages of my comic, PLEASANT LIFE!). Right across the street is the old WARD THEATER. A place where I worked and closed shop on back in 2001. Then of course I had to stop off at JON'S COUNTRY BURGER. All necessary stops when I am in town and full of memories! Here's an image dump:
We got to the Soaring Eagle Casino on Friday and chilled in the jacuzzi a couple of times, while sipping on some vodka and Mike bottles. On Saturday I reported to the FANTASTICON show floor and set up... but not before stopping for a breakfast pastry!
On Saturday I stayed steady. I didn't get pics of every commissioned sketch card but here are some TMNT ones I did for someone:
I did a lot of cards for some really kind folks. But most importantly to me, I sold a lot of books! I sold out of my copies of STARSLAM 1-2, ANNA POCALYPSE and I was down to only two remaining PLEASANT LIFE books! Not a bad problem to have indeed! I also got rid of some original art and bacon bookmarks! I had a really good weekend, sales-wise... thanks to everyone who came out and supported!
It was a smaller show and more intimate to deal with people, which I prefer. Only downside to me was that the panel "room" was on the show floor and the speakers were right behind my table, behind a curtain. So sometimes people talking or music playing got so loud I couldn't hear anyone in front of me. It was a pain in the ass, but I dealt with it.
I ran into my brother, my old pals Shane and family, Jon K, Matt & Michelle and my brother stopped by and hung out for a while. And that was just a few old friends I saw. Many more stopped by and I made some new ones as well. That is always the highlight of these shows for me!
So now, I am safely back home. The dust has settled on another con appearance. Thus ends my "25th year anniversary in comics" celebration. Its been a long, strange trip, folks. But so rewarding. I'm glad to have spent it at home. But now my mind turns toward what is next. I finished the page art on STARSLAM 4 and I am beginning the new PATREON stories. Plus a new graphic novel after that. So much to keep rolling on! I cannot wait for what is to come. You'll hear all about it soon, I assure.
To be a part of it, the best way is my PATREON PAGE (Click here). You get monthly exclusive blogs, podcasts, pinups... then there are reward tiers to get monthly erotica comics and then even monthly digital commissions for 1/2 price of my regular prices! Its the best way to keep up with me as my updates here on Idiothead.com are sporadic. I invite you to join my community I am building over there. All new stuff goes there first!
Thanks to all who came out to FANTASTICON and who took the time to stop by. I'll miss you until next time. Love to you all!

No More Commissions
Hey friends.
It saddens me to say this, but for the moment, I am closing all commissioned work from me. Over the past few weeks I have been slowly learning what I am able to do and not do now with this new health issue of carpal tunnel. Some days I can draw fine. But most I am struggling to even grip a pencil. Its going to be an ongoing learning process and I will have to re-evaluate what I can and can't do, and how fast or slow I can go now.
So for the foreseeable future, no more commissioned artwork from me. If I get any work done, it will have to be on the pages for the comics that I promised. I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone but it is necessary. Thank you for understanding.
I will keep you all updated as to the progress on this new trajectory that my life seems to be taking. I'm honestly angry and saddened about it. But its just something I will have to cope with and accept.
Thanks folks,

FINALLY!
Oh man, I've re-discovered a rush that is better than coffee and a Mt. Dew combined.... actually DOING SOME ARTWORK!
Yeah, its been something I've been struggling with for months now. I used to sit and do 5-8 pages a night in light pencils and then ink on them all week. It was how I did things. I've kept wanting to tap into that energy for a while now but the events of 2016 just sucked the life out of that workflow. Well last night, the time was right. The moon was in the right position, the drink in my cup was the exact ratio I needed, the Howard Stern recaps on Sirius were the right ones streaming, everyone left me alone and I tapped into the workflow. I had the PS4 waiting behind me, aching me to play Lego Star Wars or GTA 5 again, but I resisted and said I could as a reward if I just got the fuck to work!
So I sat at the table. Seven hours later I emerged triumphant!
In total, I got two commissions partially done (gotta color those tonight), and NINE pages for STARSLAM 3 pencilled and in various stages of ink slapped on pages!
Wow, did I need that. It really made me feel great. Like an artistic orgasm I sorely needed to feel again. After the smoke cleared I treated myself to two hours of some Lego Star Wars on PS4. My girl came home and we watched some TV together and cuddled. Today I set my alarm for 9:45 and I shot right up, anxious to get more work done! I was rewarded with my dedication to get the cover to the Caleb book done:
Man it feels good to finally tap into some of the energy to get some work done. Do I have an actual disciplined work ethic when it comes to my own work again? Lets hope! I'm well aware of my track record from last year with everything going on, and how it can dissipate in a minute. Its easy to knock the wind out of my sails lately. So for now, I am just going to enjoy feeling like this while I can and get as much done as I can!
Well, back to work but let me leave you with this cute pic of lil' James with the worst case of bedhead he had this weekend!
Looks like Eraserhead or something!

(Ahem) No Longer Idle
A couple blog posts ago, I mentioned how I was feeling so idle. How I needed to get back into the groove of working on stuff. Well, I was blessed this week with a change. Somehow after work Monday night, I felt a rocket in my ass to just get to work. So I did. Before I knew it, it was 4am and I had scanned a bunch of art I had laying around and was fixing the files to get ready to color them. A BUNCH of stuff!
I wrote some notes and dialog in my spare seconds not at home, and then when I got home, I worked even more. In the morning and when I got home. So it appears that I spoke too soon!
I don't know what awoke the fire in my ass but it is most welcome. I have to share some of what I am doing lately, if you don't mind...
First up, some things I drew LAST YEAR that I finally chose to color:
These are some posters I am doing via commission for a book series for a client. I will give you all links when the books are done. The first one is about bullying and the second takes place during revolutionary war times. It will be fun to draw something in that era!
Remember that Pleasant Life 2 art I keep talking about? Well I scanned in all the pages I have and started getting them ready to color! Here's a peek at some of them, non-spoilery...
So there is that. I gotta say, my zeal for Pleasant Life and its sequel are really high right now. I keep hemming and hawing about finishing it. But its a damn good story. And I deserve a shot at making the gang look like how I would draw them now. The story is a very personal one from lots of angles. I really should finish it and give it to the world to dissect. Pleasant Life is my baby and I cannot wait for people to finally see it. And in color!
Lastly to share, I am working on yet another project. This is a panel from a page of it. It won't mean much to you, but its all I can show right now. And its all that I can show that is SFW! (heh) Check this out:
I know the Starslam fans out there want an update on how #3 is doing. And the Anna Pocalypse fans want to know where #2 is. Well, they are being worked on too. I'm doing Starslam, Pleasant Life and this new project all at once. Anna will be worked on after the first two are completed. There is lots of work ahead of me. But you know me... I'll get it done.
I'm on this train alone, folks. My only goal is my stuff and to keep my stuff rolling. And in time, I'll show you where I'm headed with all of it. But take heart in the fact that I am finally awake and getting things done. It took me a long time to finally get back in the swing of things. And I'm also aware that I could drift from it at any time. So for now I am riding the wave and keeping my head in the game. Let's see what I emerge with when the smoke clears.
Thanks to all who support and care. We're gonna kick so much ass!
Cheers, T
P.S. One quick note: One of my favorite artists, JACK DAVIS, has passed. I always loved his stuff in MAD and in the various EC comics he did. Certainly an influence and will be missed. This one hurts, folks. Seriously. I dedicate all the next weeks of hard work I will do on my own comics to his memory.

Things to Come and COMMISSIONS for GR CON!
Hey friends! Its been a draining couple of weeks for me. But that will soon be fixed. I have decided to go down to TWO jobs instead of three. My days as the "manager" of Cap City Reprographics are coming to an end and I am now full time at my new graphics job. After almost 10 months of 16 hour days, I am ready to slow down a bit. However at the new job I will be working a ton of overtime. So it will be very similar, but I will not be spread as thin and it will help me focus on the job more.
The new job is a "career" job. One that I am more than ready for. I am used to just barely scraping by with two jobs to make a living wage. But this one... I quite enjoy it. The environment is professional and the people are great. The job itself is challenging but I am doing quite well at it. Who woulda thought it took me until my 37th year on this planet to finally get a "real" job! HA! Anyway, I am very happy with my choice and I'm glad I found the place. I look to have a long career there from this point forward. It pays my bills, feeds my family and I am able to start thinking about things I need for the future. For the first time in my life I have actual health insurance, a 401K... you know.. ADULT things! Wow. And now I will also have a bit more time to focus on finishing the art projects I have on my plate. Best of all, I will have a steady schedule to see my boys. It started that way back about a month or so ago and its really working out nicely. We all need steady schedules in our lives. And a healthy sleep pattern isn't anything to scoff at either!
How I got through the days of 18 hours of work at 2-4 hours of sleep, I'll never know. NEVER AGAIN folks... NEVER AGAIN.
But work for me is getting ready to ramp up big time. First up I got the Grand Rapids Comic Con on Oct 16-18th. Word is that tickets are almost sold out for the show, so it is going to be insanely busy there! I am now taking pre-orders for commissions to be picked up at the show. I do not do commissions at the shows anymore so if you want anything from me, you'll have to grab it now. To see info and rates, click HERE and if you are interested in ordering, email me right HERE
Also is the launch of the Kickstarter for STARSLAM 2!!! I started really drilling down on the coloring of the pages this last week and I got only about 10 more pages of art to go. But I'll make my deadline. Right now its looking like the Kickstarter will launch toward the end of the month, with the digital copies available in December, and the print versions in January... very similar to the last time. The book will be around 160 pages and its wayyyyyy awesome! I can't wait for you all to see it.
After that, its full speed ahead on Pleasant Life 2. I'm already 40 pages of art into that, and it will be in black and white, so less work digitally. It should go smoothly. But I hope to have that done in time for convention season next year. No Kickstarter for that I think. Just release as normal. Maybe a book tour. Who knows...
Also sometime next year I will finish and release my first full novel about my porn store work experiences. And MAYBE I will release my short story/poem book too! We'll see on that.
Also in time for con season will be a new pinup book: VINYL GIRLS! Pinups of girls with music and vinyl records in theme. I have the pieces all drawn, they just need to be colored and a cover done for it. (See, I've been busy!!!)
And I'm still planning on launching ALL of my comics digitally in various formats before the end of the year. Look for a big push from me for the holidays. Perhaps a holiday sale to boot!
Lastly, I will continue to work on Star Wars cards in between all of this. I am on a set right now, so I still have to finish that before the end of this month.
So... TONS of stuff is coming off the burners and will be released to your hot little hands!

As far as personal life, things are going quite well. My girlfriend and I are doing this October horror movie challenge and showing each other favorite horror flicks the other has never seen. This week I showed her EVIL DEAD 2, which she dug. I also showed her some BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD, which she also dug. Up next is her pick: The CONJURING. Somewhere in there we gotta check out THE BABADOOK. And we'll keep up the horror watches all month. I am getting excited for the holidays. Some Turkey, taters and asparagus is all in my head. Yummy!
All things are well. Thanks for checking in. Great ready for the things to come!!

Oddz and Endzzz
Hello friends. Its FRIDAY! Get up and make it happen!
I'm staring at a couple 12 hour shifts over the weekend and then a repeat next week. I've been working over 40 hours at the "part time" gas station job lately. Its good because I need the money really bad. Trying to save for changes needed in my life. Save for the future I want. Long term goals. Things that need to happen, the "Its about damn time" things. I got some stuff lined up this week that hopefully will make it happen for the better. I deserve certain things and protections in my life. And now is the time I start to wake up and make it happen!
Anyway, to be less vague, lets get to some updates!
STARSLAM 2 - I am on an average of getting around 5 pages done a week. I'm crossing into the 100 page mark and I got about 40 or so to draw after that. I hope to get them all in the can by the end of September, get rocking on the coloring and then launch Kickstarter by Octoberish. Thats my goal anyway. Fastest made sequel ever! But man, its really coming together. This book is gonna be a doozy. I got some major scenes coming up. Lots of naughty bits to draw.
NEW JOB! I started my new job a couple weeks ago as a graphic artist at CAP CITY REPROGRAPHICS here in Lansing. Its a business with a lot of history and its really a killer opportunity for me. Great folks to work with, great customers and better opportunites for me. I've even helped them redesign their logo:
So if any of my fellow artists are looking for a name they trust to help them get their printing done, add CAPCITYREPROGRAPHICS from Facebook. Make with the follow and see what we're up to. Or to get a quote on pricing, email me personally there right HERE
CONVENTIONS/APPEARANCES: I will be at the Michigan Comic Expo on Saturday, Sept. 26th. For info on the show, join their Facebook page right HERE
I will also be at the fall Grand Rapids Comic Con, Oct 16-18th! For info on their show click HERE --
I am already busy doing up new prints for the upcoming shows. Check it out!!!
Gone are the matted smaller prints. I'm now going bigger! 11x17 in nice poly sleeves. I'm also pushing bigger original art pieces. And my books will now get a new display, front and center. I am going to try to have my new backdrops done in time for the show but no guarantees. I'm really excited about my new layout and pricing plans. Its next level shit!
PLEASANT LIFE 2 - I actually took a break from Starslam 2 to do up some Pleasant Life 2 pages. About four of them. So progress happens. Still planning on early 2016 for that to be finished. More page count, but not in color and the art is smaller. More talking heads than dynamic, so it sort of evens out. But this book will be killer. Fans of the first one will have many treats and feels over this one. I daresay it might be better than the first book! We'll see what you think in the coming months.
COMMISSION NEWS: I announced last time that on Sept 1st, my prices are rising for my commissions. So to take advantage of the old pricing, ACT NOW! Email me HERE and place your order to take advantage of the old pricing. I appreciate the support and business!
Okay folks. Busy weekend ahead of me, I gotta get rolling. Save those dates above and I hope you have a great weekend!
Cheers, T

Commission Prices to Rise
Hey friends. A quick note:
After much consideration, I decided that starting September 1st I am going to raise my commission prices. I've kept them low for a long time and raised them only once before. But I wanted to give plenty of warning so that anyone wishing to commission me might do so at the soon to be old rates.
So, saying this with Peace and Love, my rates will raise to their new pricing scale on Sept. 1st. So you have the entire month of August to take advantage of what they are now.
Details and examples of commissions are available RIGHT HERE
Thanks folks! Cheers!

Of things to come/COMMISSION SALE!
Hey everyone! Welcome to 2015, world of hoverboards, flying cars and the Cubs winning the world series! Things have been mega-busy in my life. Mostly personal. I haven't put much pen to paper in a bit, other than working on these AVENGERS cards I gotta get done by this weekend. Mostly I've been trying to secure long-term employment in an effort to relocate myself for my wife and I's upcoming seperation. Or do they call it joyously uncoupling now? I forget. Anyway, no worries. Everything is okay and we're very civil to each other. But it is an emotionally heart-wrenching time for all of us here. She's moving on to her life and I am moving on to mine. On my end, I have the greatest disadvantage. I have to secure TWO full time jobs in order to make ends meet. I have no furniture or anything really to start a new life. I got boxes of collectibles and books that isn't worth tossing on ebay, and my clothes. Thats it. So the next coming weeks will be about me trying to make as much money as possible through jobs and freelance work so that I can get some savings built up and get things like a couch, bed and a TV. It will take time.
Wanna help? There's a great way to do it, and just in time for TAX TIME!!!!!! I know you'll start getting your tax returns toward the end of this month. Or maybe your Xmas presents sucked balls. Either way, I am here to help! Help me out and I'll help you out!
I am taking commissions once again. 8x11 is $25. 11x17 is $50. Add $10 for color to each. Anything you want drawn (even nudity... ESPECIALLY nudity!) I can do it! Just hit me with an email at phymns@yahoo.com and we can discuss what you want done. I take paypal and it will all go to help fund my new apartment/life fund! Believe me, I appreciate it. I will also be unearthing sketch cards and AP cards I got laying around and tossing them up for sale. Also I got my STARSLAM books back from the mail. So I will be working on those and mailing all those out after my big move next week or so. And in the coming weeks, I plan to hopefully push for a digital download sale of ALL my comics and artbooks! Look for that in the future. But for now, if you want art, now's the time to order some from me! It would be about a month turnaround time for a piece BTW. Lots to juggle right now, but you would be a priority. Just keep that in mind.
This week I got a night job as a gas station clerk. And I am up for a part time (moving into full time) position at Meijer. I got a few other applications out though, so we'll see where the chips fall. I also found an apartment today. I still have some issues as far as my lease signing goes, but I think that will all be cleared up by Monday at the latest I think. Then next week I gotta help the wife move into her place and I gotta move into mine. Its gonna be a definite juggle, especially with the kids. So BUSY!!!!!!!!!! Its gonna be nutty. But we'll make it and then we're off into the sunset on our new respective adventures. Its exciting, but scary. This will be my first apartment that I've ever lived in, ALONE. I've always had roommates, or relationships to share the space and bills. This time, I'm solo. It will be good for me to rock it solo so I can spend some time getting reaquainted with myself, but also to sort out some things I need to sort out. Also I plan to stay busy with my jobs and artwork. Then I will still see my kids too. Its just a whole different way of doing things. But it will be okay. I know it will be. It kinda sucks because I remember my first apartment with my old buddy Jon. We lived in a 2 bedroom spacious apartment for $595. Now I got a one bedroom place for $575. Of course, that was in 1996 when I had that place, and I do live in our state's capital. But still, interesting... as well as SCARY! I just hope the job situation stays good and I can get ahead on all my bills.
Anyway, thats about it for an update. Next time I update I will be doing so from my new home office. My new home. My home alone. Scary. Exciting. Weird. Sad. Happy. Determined.
Much love to you all, and PLEASE ORDER SOME COMMISSIONS! I can't wait to put lead to paper again. Help me get rolling on it all!
Cheers, T

Announcement: I'M BACK!
Today is a great day. As you might recall a couple months back I announced a big "time out" from all activities with my stuff. I ceased all commission and freelance work and I took some time to sort out some issues (personal and professional) that needed to be addressed. I was in a bad place and it still isn't 100%. But after a few months of a break and realizing that I did still have the drive and passion to keep at this, I emerged from my issues and deep depression. I've also found myself 33 pounds lighter.... so far anyway. Still going on it! I've had my health scare and have had my stats checked. I went through some even scarier stuff healthwise with dizzyness issues and also some dire financial problems. Some of these things still need to be resolved fully, but they are on their way to being dealt with. So once the smoke cleared in my head, I emerged realizing I was back to my old self again. I spent a lot of time reconnecting with the hows and whys of what I do and where I want to go next. I've laid out personal plans and goals and I have started moving forward with them. Its been that way for a bit now and I am comfortable saying now that it is likely going to stay that way.
It is with all of this said, that I now annouce to you all that I am 100% back in action. I am now actively working daily on projects and I am now open to freelance work/commissions. For those wishing for info on commissions from me, check out my COMMISSIONS INFO HERE. I will also now be resuming regular plugs and activities on social media. I am also actively making plans for future releases and convention travels. Its all resuming and I'm going full speed ahead.
I am doing this now, fully understanding the notion that I am not 100% out of the woods. This will be an ongoing period of evolution and adjustment. But the important thing I learned in this period of self examination was that when the smoke cleared, I wanted to work again. Its what makes me happiest. Its what I am best at. I spent the last few months drilling down and getting into myself. The root of it all. And it broke me down. The universe has sent me a ton of shit so far this year to show me what I am made of. Stuff that specifically derails me and knows how to do it well. And at one point I yelled back (literally) saying "I'm still here! You can't stop me. You're going to have to kill me to stop me!" And folks, I emerged from the depression that day. The shit was thrown at me, I threw right back. Thats what I needed to do. I got hit, I took it all and I am still standing and still moving forward.
I got your emails, notes, messages and visits. I appreciate everyone and their support. The numbers are still there and they are going to increase very soon. Because not only right now do I announce a return to freelance work, but early November I am launching the Kickstarter for my STARSLAM online graphic novel! I'll give more details later when its appropriate but for now, realize that new things are coming very very soon. More than you know. But I don't want to just sit here talking about it, I want it to be ready to go when you hear about it.
So: Commissions are now open. A perfect holiday gift is the gift of art. I am on a bunch of sketch card sets. I am working on my comics and new prints/table ideas-design for 2015 to hit some more shows. I'm back baby. And its like I never left.
Much love, ADAM T.

Project Updates
Since clearing my plate of commissions and declining all offers on more undesirable projects and commission work, I have fully focused on myself, my health and my creative health. It is not an overnight process, and it continues to roll on as I update you today. I start a new dayjob this week, as the first one wasn't the most ideal. This new one is a better overall choice and will work quite well as far as working on a nightly schedule of getting things done. I'm looking forward to getting back to a routine that I so severely need to be a part of. It has been severely lacking.
To be assured, it will be a massive adjustment in sleep schedule and a juggle with family life. But I stay on the path and keep rocking, not letting up or the temptations in, once the smoke clears I will be where I need to be. Health-wise, financially, creatively, emotionally and so much more. I have grand plans in my head but I am not holding myself down with them. Just chasing the mere whimsy in my mind as I just keep doing what I do and re-learning why I chose to do it. Also re-finding the joy in doing it too. Again, not going to happen overnight.
Overall, I am still at it. I am happy to say I wrote a great outline for a future project. I edited and added 10 pages of stuff to the porn store book. I have been cleaning up little things here and there around the house. I've done some writing. I spent time watching things I keep putting off, and reading authors I keep hearing about. I've been listening to albums long ignored. And I pencilled the last STARSLAM page. It is only a matter of time for these seeds to bear fruit.
But I am driven by the creativity of those around me and those I look up to. I am driven by the dreams of travelling next year to some shows to see some old friends again. I am driven to be able to better myself and to end the various worries in my head.
Rest assured, I will emerge triumphant. It is inevitable. Even now, unstoppable.

This week: I am interviewing a couple guys I look up to for a future podcast/website post for bigfanboy.com - I am giddy with nervousness about how cool it is to talk to these dudes.
I have also accepted an invite to work on another sketch card set for a big company on a big project. Seems like the less I try, the more I am getting asked! Feels good for a change and I appreciate it.
I am thinking ahead to Anna Pocalypse 2 art and rethinking a few scenes I have already drawn out. Refining. Reinventing. I got some new reference and I am going to be using it. Thats up next and down the road. I'm feeling the drive again to finish it. Thats fucking awesome!
Wheels are turning. Be warned. When I emerge finally, I'm going to blow all of you away.

COMMISSION CHANGES and other stuff
Hey all! Some quick thoughts and announcements. Very soon I shall be changing my commission rates. I will keep them what they are currently at on my Online Store ($30-80 depending on size) for a little bit, maybe another week or so, but then they will be going up. So if you want to take advantage of the cheaper price and need something done, best to jump on it now.
Also, from this point forward, I WILL NOT be doing commissions at conventions. I will do sketches in personal sketchbooks for fees, but as far as ordering a 8x11 or 11x17 piece at the shows, I will not be doing that from now on. Why? I decided that its not fair to do art at conventions. My attention is not 100% focused on your piece and therefore am not giving you my best work. If you approach me at a show and ask for a commission, I will take your info and give you mine. We can contact after the show and work it all out at that point. But to hand me cash and expect me to do a good piece within a day for you, I feel for me, is unfair. Also at the shows, I am there to sell my wares (prints, books, etc). Its all business. The artist hat is best left at home where I can focus and concentrate on giving you the best. So in reality, its better for you!
Exceptions: When I announce a PRE-ORDER before a show. You contact me and I do the piece at my office before the show and you pick it up at the show. or if you are at the show and have a sketchbook that you want a drawing in. Then I shall do something in it, priced according to its needs and content.
SO: If you want to take advantage of the current and lower rates, you can buy via my online store right HERE - Rates will go up within a week or two. I will be retooling my online store when its done.

STARSLAM updates will be sporatic for the next couple months. At the end of this current chapter, I am leaving the strips up for a bit and then taking them down permanantly. Why? Because I will be recoloring the strips, fixing minor mistakes and launching a major kickstarter to fund a fully digital version of the book in completion. The entire story (all 130 pages or so) will be available on this Kickstarter. I also will have incentives like original art, a big bonus erotica sketchbook, erotica stories, unpublished erotica short stories and other things. All that has to be ironed out in the weeks to come, but for now we're busy fixing it all up and getting it ready. Bare with me. But please enjoy the strips while they are up.

CONVENTIONS/APPEARANCES: The only thing on my radar currently is the upcoming DETROIT FANFARE, which I understand shall be making an announcement as far as a date soon. If that doesn't work, I might consider another show. But I am not super concerned about it at this point.
_____________
ANNA POCALYPSE SEQUEL: After STARSLAM is done and launched I am going full speed ahead on Anna 2. I still have a lot of art done for the book, but its just a matter of picking it back up and continuing on. I plan on having it ready for con season next year. I know people have been asking for it. Its coming!
_____________
SKETCH CARDS: I do have APs available for the following sets:
--Pinups and Pitbulls
--Contemporary Pinups (puzzle cards)
--Bianca Thompson's Dead Divas
All are available and most of them are blank and can be commissioned. Simply EMAIL ME HERE to inquire about them.
